Housing and dining
We know that a lot of learning happens outside the classroom, so we’ve created a residence life experience to support your academic and personal interests.Â
Our residence halls were designed with students’ needs in mind and we include students in the process of roommate placement to ensure a happy dorm life. With active participation from students in the daily functioning of residence halls, and regularly scheduled social activities to help new students make new friends, we’re sure you’ll enjoy living on campus!

Home away from home
OU’s are designed with student comfort in mind. You can count on having a cozy place to study, socialize, and sleep.Â
Student staff members play an active day-to-day role in managing life in the dorms. Regularly scheduled social activities give classmates and hall-mates a fun chance to bond.

Home-style meals
The Petrel’s Nest is an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall inside the Turner Lynch Campus Center, with tasty options like fresh hot pizza, a crisp and crunchy salad bar, and a Mongolian grill with made-to-order stir-fry.
There’s also a full-service coffee shop, , inside the Turner Lynch Campus Center, where you can grab a quick snack on the way to class or linger with a latte in the game room.
MEAL PLANS
strives to serve a variety of nutritional and tasty foods. Students have several main entree selections during each meal, a variety of sandwich selections, grilled burgers and dogs, a salad bar, pasta bar and a few desserts. Daily menus with full nutrition information are available online.
All students living on campus must be on the meal plan. Full participation is important to community development, as well as fiscal operations.
Students living in residence halls and Greek Row single rooms receive an unlimited meal plan. Residents may enter the dining hall as many times as they would like whenever the dining hall is open. Residents of Greek Row who reside in a double room receive ten entries per week.
The meal plan is only available when class is in session. Meals are not provided or on limited hours during school breaks and holidays. In most cases, lunch will be the last meal served on the day before a break is scheduled to begin. Brunch will be the first meal served after a scheduled break. Please pay attention to information concerning meals during breaks that is sent throughout the year.
The meal plan is included in your room and board fees so your meal plan is automatically activated when you arrive on campus. The Petrel Pass ID card is used to access meals. For additional information about the meal plans and other food-related questions please contact  at (404) 504-1411 or Enrollment Services at (404) 364-8302.
Commuters may purchase meals in the form of block plans. Students who are interested in these plans should go to the Hub for Enrollment Services in Lupton Hall for more information.
